The Brooklyn Brewery

This week the Brooklyn Brewery is the highlight brewer. Coming from New York, the brewery can be found on 11th Street in Brooklyn. For years, the Brooklyn Brewery has produced a wide variety of beers for the New York area. Among the breweries most popular brews are the Brooklyn Lager, Brooklyn Ale, and Brooklyn Brown Ale. For the most part, I would consider the brews to be on the lighter side of beers. Brooklyn Brewery produces many ales and lagers that would be liked by most average Joe people. The difference, however, is that they are much higher in quality and taste a lot fuller than most average Joe beers. Personally, I am an enormous fan of the Brooklyn Ale. Many people know it as the Brooklyn Pennant Ale '55. The reason for the special name is to honor Brooklyn's 1955 World Champion baseball team. The brew originally became popular in the summer of 2005 when it hit grocery stores in the New York area. All technicalities aside, I really really like this beer and suggest that people give it a shot. The Brooklyn Brewery produces more "user friendly" beers than some of the other companies that I like. For example, Guinness would be considered a less "user friendly" beer by my standards because most people feel it is too dark. Regardless, Brooklyn Brewery is responsible for many fine brews that anyone could enjoy. Furthermore, it is impressive that Brooklyn brews are made in Brooklyn, where there is not a very good brewing environment due to the water supply and hops situation. The bottomline is that Brooklyn Brewery makes some amazing beers that everyone should check out. I am a real big fan of this company, and Brooklyn Brewery deserves all the support it can get.

Hey,
I haven't had the chance to try any beer by the Brooklyn Brewery, although my friend from home sweards by it. He gets it at school, I can't find it by me. Sam Adams is my favorite "good beer." Summer lager was my sustinence this summer. I'm excited that Oktoberfest has finally come back out. It's by far the best seasonal beer that you can buy right now in my opinion. I usually always have at least a 6 pack in my apartment of it. I am looking forward for their Winter Lager to come out. I also love that one. It's awesome if you can find a bar that has it on tap. It tastes best that way, but then again, all beer tastes better from a tap. Anyway, I look forward to hearing about some new beers to try and I'll try to go out and get them. Peace.

Hey,
I found your blog very interesting. Since recently turning 21 (January) I have been trying various types of beer. Many the major brands right now. I never knew that so many beers could taste so different. So far my favorite is Yeungling (which I loved before I started trying different brews) I haven’t tried Brooklyn beer yet but it sounded pretty good especially since it is beer friendly. I love to try different beers and I found that your blog will be giving good insight of different types and will inform me on what I might want to try next time I step into the liquor store.

I am glad that you guys are liking the site. I am doing my best to look into different requests that people have for the site. For example, I will try to see about a bar that has Sam Adams on tap for Mike. Unfortunately, I do not know any just yet, and we will not be highlighting Sam Adams because it is no longer a microbrew. However, I will try my best to find a place that has it on tap as it is a good brew. Also, I'm glad that Oktoberfest was brought up. I am thinking of doing something special for Oktoberfest such as the top five Oktoberfest brews of this year. We will see though, I have to get time to try enough for a fair decision. Either way, thanks for the comments guys.
Take care,
Bren
